Join Rita Vali, an energetic and passionate ceramics instructor, for an immersive pottery journey inspired by the history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes of Asturias. The week begins in Oviedo and its surrounding region, where you’ll gather imagery, ideas, and experiences to enhance your creative process.
After settling in at Senda d’Arte, you’ll dive into building pottery forms with clay slabs and explore dynamic, layered surface decoration techniques including monoprint transfers, silkscreens, stencils, sprigs, and more. Visits to nearby villages, walks in the surrounding mountains, and time spent savoring local cuisine enrich the experience and deepen your connection to this beautiful place.
This pottery workshop in Asturias will be offered through the Art Students League of Denver, where Rita has been teaching for more than 15 years.
